Established in 1960 with the original goal of exporting wicker products such as baskets, folding screens, cradles and trays, Expormim expanded fast and by 1980 was exporting to more than 50 countries worldwide. One of the hallmarks of the company is craftsmanship. The region the company is based in – La Costera, home to the town of Moixent, has a long tradition with the ancestral art of making wicker baskets and working with rattan. In this rural environment with an economy based on agriculture, this tradition supported many families as the wicker baskets were needed in the vineyards to carry grapes. And Expormim are heirs to this craftsmanship, handed down over the centuries, it is intrinsic to their nature.
