Mariano Fortuny was a Spanish artist born in 1871. Later he moved to Venice and founded a silk and cotton manufacturing company based on his expertise with cotton treatment methods, which the brand uses to this day. Bought in 1988 by the Riad family, Fortuny cherishes the founder’s tradition in its furniture and lighting collections. With the main showrooms in Venice and New York, a lot of Fortuny products have become collectibles, sold at auction houses and exhibited in museums around the world.
