A sustainable palace that is all about natural materials – stone, wood, plants, water and trees. The only “man made” material is metal, but it’s oxidized metal that looks weathered and rusty, fitting in perfectly with the natural style. There are beautiful stone tiles everywhere on the floors and walls, inside and outside. The design is based on the traditional cortijo with its central courtyard and all rooms opening onto this space. Here, there is a lovely, intimate chill out space where you can entertain friends. The interior of the home also has a delightful garden, in this instance it is next to the family lounge and TV room, and life size animal sculptures bring added pleasure to this area. There is a moat around the garden, so whilst sitting at the dining table you can lean over and feed the fish!
