PRECIOSA has a truly fascinating history. Its roots go back to the 16th century, when the first glass workshop of the region was founded in Mšeno and became the capital of Czech glassmaking, famous all over Europe. 1948 brought forward a big leap for the Czechoslovakian economy, when 25 different local companies and factories merged into one national company under the official name of PRECIOSA. Since then the brand has been constantly improving and growing. In 2013 a unique material, lead-free crystal, was created and certified by the company. With its extraordinary sparkle, it meets the highest international standards of quality and environmental certification.
